And now, The Winter Group Show

The Beginning Of The End

The Beginning Of The End

Thanks to the sterling efforts of the seemingly unstoppable Nathalie Banaigs, the Designers and Makers Market at Margate's Turner Contemporary enjoyed massive footfall - and we enjoyed meeting up with many old friends, and new acquaintances.

Over that same weekend, this year's Winter Group Show in the excellent Linden Hall Studio in Deal opened (see exhibitions page for details).  The gallery describes this show as 'the highlight of our exhibition programme' and it features works by a variety of contemporary artists, across a range of media and styles. The standard of work is extremely high - among some top names, it features several Royal Academicians no less! So, as you might imagine, I was delighted to have a piece of my own accepted for inclusion in the show. The exhibition runs through December and January, so you have plenty of time to get across there and enjoy a real sensory treat.

And while you're at it, why not pop round the corner and have a look in the John Corley Stained Glass Studio at 57 West Street.  Crammed with a large selection of beautiful handmade and mouth blown glass, it offers gorgeous items to suit every pocket, and is just the place to find Christmas presents that any recipient would be over the moon to receive.
