Well, it’s been a while since I’ve written anything, but I haven’t been completely idle! In October, I showed some of my work at a craft event in the beautiful old Conquest House in Palace Street, Canterbury. I’m planning an exhibition there next year, so watch this space! And I’m currently exhibiting 10 pieces in the foyer and meeting rooms of a company, also in Canterbury – no access to the public unfortunately, as it’s a private firm, but at least all their staff and visitors will get to see my offerings. I’ve also been working on several commissions – one is complete and has been handed over to the client (see my commissions page) and the others are gradually coming to fruition.

I’m quite busy on the exhibition front at the moment too. I am currently showing 2 pieces in the Folkestone Art Society Winter Exhibition in The Grand, Folkestone. This finishes on Sunday 20th, so get along there quickly if you want to have a look. It’s a really good show this year. Then, I am very pleased to have been invited to join the hART group as a guest artist in their annual exhibition at the Tin Tabernacle in Hythe this year. This will take place 3rd-11th December, please do call in and have a look if you can. hART are a very talented group and a visit will be well worth your time.

And last (for now!) but most definitely not least, I will be showing 2 new pieces in the Winter Group Show in the Linden Hall Studio in Deal. The gallery has invited each of the artists who have exhibited there since its opening 2 years ago, to submit 2 pieces to be included in this show. I will be in very exalted company here – contributors include amongst others Humphrey Ocean RA and Mali Morris RA – and as there are 50 artists exhibiting, I can pretty much guarantee there will something to please everyone. The show will run from 6th December through to 29th January next year, and is definitely a ‘must see’ for any art lover.

By the way, the owners of Linden Hall Studio also have a lovely shop at 57 West Street, Deal, just around the corner from the gallery. Here they have numerous beautiful glass objects for sale – glasses and bowls, bottles, jewellery, Christmas decorations, artworks, and all manner of gorgeous things. Take my tip, if you are on the look out for unusual and unique Christmas presents, this is the place to go.
