Exposed

It’s been a busy few months one way and another - all good! I’ve been very lucky. With things having recently opened up a little more, our social life has improved somewhat, not least because it was our Ruby wedding anniversary in June and we were able to go away for a few days to celebrate. We spent a couple of days in Winchester, staying at the excellent Hotel du Vin, and then went on to Portsmouth for the rest of the week. I’d never been to Portsmouth before, and it was a revelation - so much to do and see! We had a day at the Historic Dockyard (the Mary Rose exhibition is brilliant), went up the Spinnaker Tower, explored Gunwharf Quays, found lots of excellent eateries (and drink-eries), and walked for miles enjoying the sights. And shortly after we came home, our wonderful and generous family took us out to lunch at The Folkestone Wine Company. The most delicious food in the very best company - what more could we ask?

And work wise, I’ve been satisfyingly occupied too. I’ve done another virtual exhibition, I have several interesting commissions on the go and in the pipeline, and today I have been packing my car with a selection of work that I will be showing in ‘eXposed’ - the exhibition I am taking part in along with other members of Axiom Collective. We are setting up in the Halpern Gallery at Nucleus Arts in Chatham tomorrow, and the show will open on Friday (16th July) - see the Exhibitions page for details. Please do come and see us if you can - there’s a great cafe at Nucleus Arts, so you can be well refreshed while you visit. It would be great to see you!
