A New Look
Well, it’s been rather a long while since I last updated the ‘news’. But I haven’t been entirely idle! Firstly, and with a lot of help from the excellent Stella Chapman, I have updated the website and it now has a smart new look, which I hope you will find easy to navigate. Also this year I have been lucky enough to work on several very interesting commissions, which I will share on the commissions page in due course. And during August I once again showed some of my work at the annual ‘Sculpture In The Garden’ event at the wonderful Godinton House. I can only apologise to them that I wasn’t in a position to put that on the website at the time. I shall try to be better organised next year.
Alongside this, I have resurrected my interest in life drawing and joined a collective of local artists studying the human form. You can see some of my attempts on the 2D page, and in a couple of weeks the group will be showing some examples of our work in an exhibition, aptly named ‘Bare’ . This will be held at The Woodshed gallery in Folkestone. At the same time, I am exhibiting in the gallery at the Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells where, along with three printmakers, I will be showing examples of my works in kiln fused glass. See the exhibitions page for details of these two events. And once that’s all over, it will be time to start preparing for yet another event, ‘Winter At The Woodshed’, which will take place the first two weeks in December’. I’ll post more about that nearer the time……
